Rob Shaftel and Jon Kroll are executive producers for the series, with Sean D. Travel blogger Jeff Jenkins will be fronting a currently untitled project from Hit + Run that will see him spend one week at a time completing different adventures. Fenton Bailey, Randy Barbato, Tom Campbell and Jeremy Simmons are executive producers on the series for World of Wonder, with Ross Fremer, Brian Oakes and Christine O’Malley executive producing for Cinetic and Forhan executive producing for National Geographic. RuPaul’s Drag Race prodco World of Wonder is behind Restaurants at the End of the World, in which chef and entrepreneur Kristen Kish travels to restaurants in remote locations to learn about the people, places, cultures and traditions behind their cuisine. Grant Kahler is the series’ executive producer and showrunner, with Betsy Forhan executive producing for National Geographic. On each episode, Hough, a professional dancer who appeared for years on Dancing with the Stars, will partner with a celebrity guest to explore the roots of the some of the most popular dance styles and trends from around the world. Leading off the new series is Dance the World with Derek Hough, produced by Walt Disney Television Alternative. National Geographic has unveiled its slate of upcoming unscripted content ahead of Disney’s upfront presentation on Tuesday (May 17), with a focus on personality-driven titles that reflects the network’s previous success with such series as Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted, Trafficked With Mariana van Zeller and Running Wild with Bear Grylls.
